Post game celebrations on visiting fields.

Post game brawl breaks out because a visiting team wins a game and tried to plant a flag at midfield.

How do you stop it?

I have a simple solution that nobody will agree to.

Rule: Visiting teams that celebrate on the field after the game using any object will immediately forfeit the game. Visiting teams that mass at or near midfield for the purpose of celebrating after a victory will immediately forfeit the game.

The purpose of going onto the field after the game is to congratulate the other team. The purpose of the locker room, after the game, is to celebrate.

Note: To my knowledge this "tradition" started because FSU used to mass at midfield and dance. They started doing it in Tallahassee. It was no big deal. Then, they started doing it at away games. The first team that got ticked off and challenged them was Florida. FSU quit doing it at away games. (They would come to their sideline and celebrate, normally around the 20 yard line. Even that is too much. It is now considered a sign of disrespect, not of celebration. (And, certainly planting a team flag on the opposing teams logo is way over the line.)

Congratulate the team.
Pray and thank God for the game.
Go to the locker room.
Celebrate.

In that order!

I don't think they should have to forfeit but fines for Coaches and suspensions for Players I could see. It would be a special problem at Clemson where Fans are expecting to be out there too.

Celebrating on your home field is fine. It is inappropriate when you are the visiting team.

There's a realistic solution that stands a chance of being implemented. Well done??

Another solution is to win your home games.***

This. You didn’t see the Germans trying to start a war when the flag was planted at Iwo Jima. Did ET start brawling with Neil Armstrong when he stood in a studio in Hollywood and planted a flag on the fake moon?
