The US outpaces the rest of the world by far in gun violence. This country has a huge gun problem. You have to be an idiot if you can’t agree with that.
Let’s hear the excuses….

Someone needs to find out where the rest of the world gets their guns made because it's obvious the ones made in the USA are more criminally violent than the world standard.

One of P&R's rather silly posters--I won't say his name but his initials are T3--argued yesterday that basically rap music should be banned because it's causing violence. That's pretty ridiculous, and would also open up doors that he really doesn't want.
There hasn't been a correlation between violence and music. Never has been. Never will be.
People want to blame things and objects for bad problems often because it allows us to avoid looking inward at a pretty harsh truth: Many people are just simply terrible human beings. And we may not be able to really stop them from doing terrible things.

Some are going to do terrible things no matter what. Some will get tired of the obstacles and give up. What I don't know is what the hurdles ought to be. A decent dialogue needs to be had. We don't do that in this country though.

everything is all one way or another. If there is no stomach for compromise and experimentation then there is no reason to have a dialogue where both sides of the issue just scream about doing it their way and how stupid the other ideas are.

Is we need more education on responsible gun ownership, basically to prevent them from winding up in the hands of kids who will do stupid #### with them.
I do not know how to make this happen.

I think we sometimes overlook that America has been a pretty violent country for a while; we were born in violence. We're very young compared to other nations that seem to have worked through a lot of this over the centuries.
