Another crazy idea on OU/TX and super-conferences.

Somebody mentioned that if the SEC goes to 16 teams they should adopt a pod schedule. (4 pods, 4 teams each.)

Heck, why not think outside the box and go to 20 teams ( 4 pods, 5 teams)?

OU and TX make it 16.
FSU and Clemson make it 18.
GT and OK ST make it 20.

FSU, Clemson, GT and OK ST would give the top two schools in each of those states to the SEC.

Top 2 teams from the state in the SEC: FL, SC, GA, AL, TN, MS, TX, OU
Top team from the state in the SEC: LSU, KY, AR, MO.

4 games from your pod, 2 games from the other three pods, 2 OOC games.

Clearly the best conference in the country. Heck, I think they could break away from the NCAA and declare the conference champ the "world champion" not just the national champion.

Not gonna happen. Like I said, just thinking WAAAAAYYY outside the box.

VT & UVA

And they would have 24 teams an wrap up all the traditional southern states
