I think it was pretty clear. His colleague asked if he agrees with the decision to make Al the fourth team in and he quickly responded to the effect, yes especially the way they handled Ohio State last year.

I believe he was referring to how Ohio State was not a conference champion but got in over other conference champions. That was the situation Alabama was in this year. This year, Ohio State was making the argument FOR conference champions; last year they were against it.
