Steve Taney Hill Union County High School Coach.

From a friend over in Union. As most of you know, Steve Taneyhill is now the head coach at Union. After losing 5 ball games in the regular season, the coach brought up J.V. players to replace five starting linemen and linebackers on defense. The players quite and the mommies and daddies tried to have him fired, They have not lost another ball game since and play in the state tonight. You got to love a coach that has enough courage to buck local politics and do what is best for the team. I never thought I would every say this (since he handed our Tiger butts to us a few times) but I have gained a lot of respect for Taneyhill.
O, by the way, the mullet is gone!

He has done a tremendous job. I never would have thought it would happen at mid season but he is def a great coach . He has some great talent coming in next year from junior high so we will see what he can do.

They punished my Jackets in the second round. He has done a great job. I really have no problem with they guy and I can honestly say he does not push his guys to scar or any other school. He stays out of it.

From what I have heard he is very detail oriented and a great coach. I have a friend who is a high school ref and he thinks ST is the best offensive coach in the high school ranks. Says ST is cool on the sidelines and makes sure the refs know about some of the plays he will be calling so there is no mistake about rules. You can't argue with his success in the HS ranks.
Why the hate - did yall forget what player of his he sent to Clemson?
