to 34 yards on the ground, while our former DC* got 55 scored on him by an unranked team. Good thing we didn't fire Wes last week!
*love me some BV, but I had to make the point

I’m glad he finally figured out pressing the QB was the way to go….you definitely don’t want to put the game in our secondary’s hands

I just call it like I see it. I’m not going to apologize for for criticizing him when he kept dropping everyone back into coverage when he should have been pressing the qb. I mean the people you are taking jabs at were right. He’s just doing what we’ve been saying he should do all year….

It was nice to actually get pressure from the defensive front. You can tell Dabo and others jumped their rears this past week.

Exactly, a run of the mill average QB can make a lot of 1st downs when you're not pressuring him. BV made a living at Clemson by pressuring QB's, and that's why his defenses helped to get us in, and win playoff games, 2 national championships, and played in 4 national championship games. And he didn't always have a lock down DBs. BV always made it easy for our DBs by having a suffocating D Line, front 7!!!!

What exactly are you trying to say? That people can comment negatively without being called out on it? Own it if you make crap comments and they backfire on you

I'm not gonna compare Wes to Brent....

....(there are a lot of different responsibilities for a HC) but I will say this: Wes and his defensive staff did one heckuva job preparing a game plan, coaching the players to play that game plan, and then executing that game plan.
My thought at half-time was, "Dabo has told Streeter, 'We have to score every time we get the ball 'cause we ain't stopping them'."
Playing that well on defense with all the injuries and the unbelievably young secondary against a really good QB is remarkable.

I think sometime Clemson keeps it’s cards to close to there chest. I feel every year for the last 10 years we start our very vanilla and basic on offense and defense. Most of the time we can beat teams just with talent alone, but sometimes it’s to close for comfort. And by half way through the season we kick it in drive and open up the playbook:
