Maybe because he likes strikeouts. If so, would be way cooler if he used a backwards K instead.

If a certain % of kids aren't being utilized, it can only help to go after these kids also, right?

If he said he was going to those places to find the best players possible I would have no problem with it. I would look at it the same as a basketball coach going to Europe to recruit. He said he does that because baseball is too white.

recruiting territories could lead to good things.
Obviously, he thinks there are some players in the black community that can be utilized.
Now, if someone said that football and basketball are too black, are whites as a whole being under-utilized in those sports, as in not having the finances to get noticed?

Well, not sure how inner city youth have finances for travel basketball, but not baseball. If you are saying that AAU funds that, then it is not really an issue a college baseball coach can fix, imo. With 11.7 schollies, you really need to bring in as many 'college-ready' guys as possible. Even in the southeast, college teams are largely white, which speaks to the size of the talent pool they are all chasing. To change that, you need to get these guys into baseball at the PeeWee or, at least, Little League level.
