Overton reclassifying to 22

Clemson was in this race at one point but looks like that ended when BV left bc OK is now in the top 5 for him. Shockingly TAM is in the top group as well.

He's on pace to graduate in June that will give him 2-1/2 months on campus before the start of season. TAM already has the #1 spot (you still have to coach them) but winning the lottery is easier the more tickets you have.

Early on, it appears we are going to have a nice 23 DL class. I also like what Dabo said about the NIL facility being built. I think our 23 class will be just fine.

If all these 5 star DL keep going to Texas A&M bunch of them gonna be in the portal in the fall of 2022. Five star guy doesn’t get enough snaps on Saturday, hop in the portal on Monday morning.

And this will likely be the Achilles heel of programs like TAMU

unless the players get paid a lot more to sit tight and wait. I don’t know if we will ever see rosters stacked with talent like we have in the past. The portal is currently gutting the depth of the most talented rosters. Lack of solid depth can make a great team mediocre very quickly.

Doesn’t appear we are in it with Overton anymore but I sure hope Eason can get in with some of these 2023 kids and make a splash. But I will say if NIL money is what’s going to drive 90% of these kids Clemson will unfortunately fall off. That’s not the type of program Dabo runs and we don’t have to large rich alumni base to pay these kids.
