Oh-No !! The dreaded moon wobble ...

Jul 15, 2021, 11:15 AM

We might as well give up now ...

Meh, it's not a concern until it's a Godzilla moon wobble

Jul 15, 2021, 11:17 AM

When they call it Godzilla, those are the end days.

Why is every governmental science prediction

Jul 15, 2021, 12:15 PM

Always for an event 10-20 years into the future??

My guess would be to make it look like they are doing something while relying on the short term memories of the information consumers to forget how wrong they were

Chem Chem, are you suggesting Newton had it all wrong, and that gravity is a conspiracy NASA is pushing on us?, because it really comes across that way.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Lol. Nice stretch.

Jul 15, 2021, 12:56 PM

Perhaps Im just questioning Nasa vague weather prediction capabilities

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

since when are the tides weather?

Jul 15, 2021, 12:59 PM

Maybe this is just not your sport?

Balm, Did I see correctly in another post that he is a Chem E. alum?

it would be safe to assume that a chemistry major did not take physics. But yeah, science and all, it is pretty darn consistent.

Oh, and good thing that NASA knows how to predict the moons movements, otherwise our guys might have missed the #### thing and would still be sailing through outer space

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

newton definitely had gravity

Jul 15, 2021, 1:16 PM [ in reply to Re: Oh-No !! The dreaded moon wobble ... ]

Wrong. Relativity describes motion more accurately. Kepler was the one that really understood planetary motion not newton. Newton had equations for force and motion but had no clue why they worked.

Point for Neal. But regardless, I think the point is that I'm quite sure that the great scientists at NASA know that and know more about the potential movements of the moon and how they directly impact tidal activity than anyone posting in this thread, certainly including myself.
