Local grass fed beef ribeye, crispy fingerlings, Brussels, beurre rouge.
Opened a nice local wine, Michael Shaps 2017 Cab Franc. Dark blackberry color, medium body. Cedar, cherry, chalk on the nose. Plum, dark fruit, old leather book on the palate. Surprising and pleasantly smooth finish. Composed, bright, youthful cab franc, pretty representative of the Monticello AVA.

But that wine description deserves a dodgam drop kick off of the top rope. All fancy wine tastes exactly the same. It’s dry as ####. Tart as hell! Sucks the moisture right out of your mouth and leaves you thirsting for an ice cold beer or bourbon. Leave that #### on the shelf and get you some Blackberry Merlot by Arbor Mist. A real wine company! My taste description for that would be, it tastes like sweet delicious wet juice but also contains alcohol. I tell everybody that I’m buying it for my wife, but they know it will never make it home. That’s the only wine description a man should ever give.
