DJU vs Josh Allen in college

Both big guys with strong arms
Josh Allen’s % completion at Wyoming was 56.2%.
Was still wild first year in NFL, but they kept working with him and now he’s a Top 3 QB with 64% completion.

Think DJ goes the same path?

I think if DJ wants an NFL career, his passing and decision making accuracy needs to improve.

If DJ was to make it to the league I would think he would be more like a Big Ben type QB.

Nothing I have seen from him has league written on it.

But I did not see Dak Prescott being in the league either but did not watch very many of their games.

Fair assessment on big Ben but DJ's biggest question is whether he can increase his release and develop reading defenses quick. As you stated., nothing to this point gives any indication he progresses to that level.

Tajh Boyd didn't make it far in his NFL tryout because presumably (if you believe what you read) he could not read defenses, or at least quickly enough during a play. I think his physical ability and arm strength were plenty adequate and he threw a nice long ball. Quite frankly, if Tajh's drawback was his ability to read defenses quickly, I don't see a bright future for DJ in the NFL.

I think he's got all the physical tools to play pro, he's not shown the mental aspects of the game that is needed to succeed in college, muck less pro.
