By the time the season starts & they bump up all the SEC teams & big market teams we will be at 7-10 but I truly believe we have a team that could win the National Championship if we get great QB play. Our OL & DL will be much improved.

We really need production in the passing game & decisions on RPO’s to boost our offensive production. Our schedule should give us time to improve on the fundamentals in time for our toughest stretch.

I totally agree Humble, but then again, I thought/believed that last season was a Natty year for us also, but I don't think that I was alone in those feelings. Most of us never saw DJ falling from the grace that most had him in after the BC, ND games. Hopefully he will lose weight down to 230 at least. With DJ being listed as 6'4", I believe that 225-230 would be an ideal weight for him, and I say 230 bc he a big boned 6'4" guy that should be able to carry 230 as a college QB very well I would think.

I do know that seeing DJ out of full uniform, he looked to be heavier than the 250 they had him listed as in his roster pic. To me with his height and big boned frame, he looked to be close to 260, and probably pushing 270 that had his mechanics all screwed up, with his feet dragging a ball and chain, that left him struggling to get out of his own way, even less when a DE or LB was coming down on him. I personally believe that a 225-230 lb DJ could return to the DJ that we saw against a 2020 season BC, and ND!!!

I absolutely hope that DJ can lose all those extra pounds before fall practice bc, IMHO, Cade Klubnik needs a year in the weight room to put on some muscle weight before challenging anybody for the starting position. But if nothing changes with DJ, and he doesn't improve from last season, and if Cade has to challenge DJ for the starting position, it would put Cade in the same situation as DW4 was in his true freshman season, and that was at risk of injury through his entire true freshman season. So I hope that DJ can come back better than ever!!!

Part of that is of course out of our control but hopefully we are analyzing opportunities to improve the S&C program to minimize the risk of injury.
