Recurring college dream with new twist

Aug 15, 2022, 7:59 AM

In a similar thread a while back, most people said their dream was about the end of a semester just as mine had been and they had forgotten to attend a class the entire term or couldn't find their classroom (or both). Last night I had a new version in which I had just entered college and was taking a "take home" test that had the questions in the textbook with a separate answer sheet. Well, I turned in the book somehow and kept the answer sheet without answering all the list of questions. Hunted down several people in the class to see if they still had their book so I could complete the sheet and would not begin my college career with a terrible grade (deja vu?). Of course nobody had their book available before I woke up.

Maybe this change in timing is the result of the fact that my oldest grandchild moves into his Clemson dorm this week for his freshman year. If that is the case , I hope I am still around to repeat this dream when the other 4 grandkids pack up for Clemson.... but the youngest just started 4th grade and that seems like a long time for a guy my age.

And even more twisted - Tnet says I posted at 6:59 AM but

The beginning of college with a terrible grade part was deja vu for me. Both of my first two college tests were given on the same day. The results were both given back on the same day during the next class. Test score 1 was 20. Test score 2 was 28. This wasn't a dream.

I've had the missed class the entire semester dream a few times. I missed the other thread to which you referred. I'd be interested in seeing the responses, so I'm going to search for it.

Getting closer to your TU goal.

Sometimes the road to the truth is so elusive it's confusing and reality becomes illusion.
