An ambitious plan for the ACC to expand

Jul 2, 2022, 8:44 AM

1. Bring in Notre Dame, Stanford, Oregon, and Washington for 18. Oklahoma St and Utah for 20.
2. Don’t know if it’s possible, but expand NBC deal with new schools while the deal Dunce Swofford and the dumb a55es who voted for expires. Distribute equally.
3. Change the name from Atlantic Coast Conference to Super Primo Awesome Happy Conference or something cooler.
4. The Power 3 and the Group of 7 become different divisions

I realize this won’t happen because of that awful deal, but college football NEEDS these schools (and many more) from around the country.

Only a complete coward needs to expel his competitors to win. That’s what the SEC and ESPN do. The B1G is just smart enough to keep up with SEC, I don’t blame them.

I said last yr the acc should merge with the big 10

Stop playing catch up and lead the way. Nope. The acc is all but history imo.

Teams will be clawing to join the sec or big10

Not a bad plan to have a pod of 4 on west coast probably need to add another in the middle like Baylor.

The American Coastal Conference.....

East - Current ACC plus Notre Dame

West- Stanford, Cal, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, Colorado, both Oregon and Washington schools, Baylor and Oklahoma State.

The ACC is disbanded. Get a new TV contract or just go 100% PPV.

That would be cool too, but I’ll pass on PPV. That’s why I don’t watch Boxing or UFC. Some of those fights are appealing but I’m not paying those fees. I watch a lot of college football and wouldn’t be able to if it went PPV.

For what feels like the Ten Millionth time, NOTRE DAME WILL

NEVER JOIN THE ACC PERMANENTLY AS A MEMBER IN FOOTBALL. That has always been true, and with their biggest west coast rival, USC, joining the BIG, it is more true now than ever. The impending HUGE new TV deal the BIG is about to sign is probably going to be enough to get ND to finally rethink their long standing Independent status in football.

I. for one, hope they DO join the BIG, because I believe that would result in a legal breach of contract situation of the ACC broadcast rights contract, which Clemson and / or other schools could then use to get the Heyall out of this backwards league without the current penalties being in play.

Other conferences are also looking to expand especially the PAC.

Read one suggestion where PAC expands by taking ten ACC schools to go to 20 - ten on west coast, ten on east coast. Clemson, FSU, Miami,GT, UVa, VT, UNC, NCSU, +2 — ND/BC? Duke/WF?? Pitt/Louisville?

Then 4 PODs , 2 each coast. Play 4a gaming your POD, one perm from Other POD on your coast and rotate the five in each of the other coast PODs. Ten games.

CU/FSU/NCSU/UVa/Louisville in one east coast pod. Play all 4 of them.

Get GT from other pod as Perm. Rotate Other 4, 2 each year for 8 games. Then two west coast games, one out there, one home.

So our schedule: FSU, NCSU, UVa, Louisville, GT every year— then UNC&Miami yr1, Pitt&VT yr2 and then 2 west coast teams to alternat. 5 yrs play everyone

I actually kind of don’t mind this, plus should be good $$c conference.

Could possibly see something like this.

Never Thought Of It Like That, but ur-rite

Basically, schools who do not have a big enough draw in terms of eyeballs and interest will be put in the R.O.Y conference and left for dead.

I'm telling you all: it would not surprise me if there was another National Championship group that comes out of this! You would have the super conference NC. Then the ROY National Champions then FBS, and so so.
