First truly competitive Women's team we've had in a while

It feels like this team is capable of beating anyone in women's college basketball outside of the elite teams. Even Butler's team a few years ago didn't feel like they could beat anyone in the top 15-20. This team can at least hold their own with anyone outside of the top 3-5 and stands a chance of pulling some upsets. This is the type team that if we could somehow sneak into the tournament as a 13 seed, we could upset a 4 seed and have a shot at a Cinderella run to the Sweet 16 at least. I'm not sure we'll make the tournament, but I feel much better about the state of our Women's basketball program than I have since about 3-4 years before we let Davis go. This team isn't as good as Davis's best teams yet, but if we can sustain recruiting for another year or two we may get there.

Too many empty sets. Could have one easily. Whitethorn needs to work on her jump shot. They play hard but u can't lose a game like that

She has a lot of players available to return for another year. The question is whether they will and I think that depends on how we finish the season. She also needs a good finish to have credibility in the portal. Right now all she has recruited is two juco players who have a long way to go to be competitive ACC players. I love the fight in this team. I just hope they can be successful in a highly competitive ACC.

Amanda’s a good coach

She has done an awesome job of fighting to get better. It’s good to see us be competitive in the conference, we weren’t for so long.

On a side note, Amanda looks like she’s aged a bunch since last season, has she been sick? I’m praying for her to be in perfect health.
