Is what they say it is?
I don’t have any overarching conspiracy theories to share, but I watch the news and read articles and more and more I come away with the thought- I don’t believe that’s true.
Maybe I’m becoming an old curmudgeon in my early, middle-age years. Maybe it’s because of the last 6 years of being lied to about so many topics... not sure.

For elwyn, the source is only legit if it says what he wants to believe.
That's one of my favorite P&R claims. That a person consumes all these various news sources and claims to be so well-informed, but he also rejects all those news sources and has somehow figured out the right answer that no one else has figured out.
They ain't consuming #### except Tucker and Newsmax.

Big picture, I don’t feel like we’ve gotten a straight answer on why Russia wants Ukraine that bad. And I guess at the end of the day, I feel like Russia could take out Ukraine in a weekend... but they aren’t. They are moving at a snails pace. A pace that Panamas military could stop. 40 miles of trucks on a one lane road? Really? The overweight crew of dads that live on my street could stop that convoy. Then add the randomness of the bombings. None of it adds up.

Putin wants Ukraine to built back the Russian Empire. For Russia to take out Ukraine in a weekend it would involve bombing the crap out of them from the air. They've done some of that, but the stingers and other equipment we've provided to Ukraine has helped. I also think Putin is willing to cause a lot of damage to Ukraine, but he'd most likely prefer to make building things back as easy as possible if his goal is to make Ukraine part of Russia.
I think the snails pace movement comes down to horrible planning on the part of Russia. I honestly think Putin believed they'd drop a few missiles and roll in the tanks and the Ukrainian military would give up and the Ukrainian citizens would greet the Russians as rescuers.

I have no idea what the whole truth is but I agree about the convoy. Seems to me that would be the equivalent of Red Coats marching down a wooded lane playing the drums.

Also, to properly stop that convoy you'd need to attack from the air. Ukraine is fighting very well, but they don't exactly have many options at the moment when it comes to air assaults. To take them out from the ground you'd have to get close enough to engage the convoy. Currently, the Ukraine army is doing all it can to defend the city against Russian attackers that are closer.

A bridge and one well placed round could stop the whole thing. You only need to stop the first and last truck in the right place and the whole convoy is yours.

Putin does not want the Ukraine to become a part of NATO. Best way to stop that is to take control. There are a lot of military reasons why Putin would not want this. Another reason is because he has flipped his wig... And why is he talking with the president of France so frequently? There are goals that are not "publicly" know for sure.

but you're in the minority. Couple things at play here, for me at least, it seems.
The state sponsored corporate media entities (including the socials) just changed directions quicker than Barry Sanders. And nearly everything they've told us over the past...idk...6 - 10 years has been complete ########.
I'm not saying or claiming that I know what is going on, and I've only recently put some things together that remotely make sense. But what I do know, is that I don't trust any of these mother ####### to tell us the truth.
If the state sponsored corporate media entities came out and told me the sky was blue, I wouldn't question what they were saying, I'd question the why. And as I've said before, questioning the why in this day and age is a big no no, you racist grandma killing ####### uneducated knuckle dragging Neanderthal piece of ####.

Most of the RUS/UKR situation, as shown on many TV news channels & as reported in many newspapers, is almost certainly correct.
However, the news outlets just can't help themselves from grocery store tabloidism.
We've seen the footage of the UKR old lady with the blood on her face and her babushka & clothes all messed up from aRUS bomb or missile or burned/collapsed building.
Well, that exact same footage was shown in 2014 from RUS / UKR conflict in the Crimea.
It's stunts like this that sew ever larger doubts among the American public about the veracity of the majority of Americas largest "news" entities.
