Hey Trump Hater explain this to me if you can

Why do we have veterans homeless and without healthcare but you will pour into illegal immigrants more money in a month -every month- and free healthcare than that Veteran ever made in a month with no strings attached?
If you care so much about the rights of illegals then post a picture of your "open door" policy in action at your own home. Show us the food line and the smiling faces as they sit around your table with your family. Show us the "spare" bedrooms lovingly embracing these weary and worthy travelers.
Show us your "love" personally in action and set the example of your "I'm better than you and always will be because I know how to love people better than you - and people who are better than you - because you are stoooopid and dumb and racist and have white privilage" or just grab a ticket and get in line with the rest of us.

I get tired of hearing people point out the homeless veteran thing. Does serving in the military mean you shouldn’t have to work the rest of your life? If someone is homeless in 2019 it’s probably their own fault no matter who they are. Also why do you count their lives more important than an illegal immigrant?
The “let these immigrants live with you” thing is ridiculous as well. There is plenty of room and plenty of jobs in America to let’s these people come in and have a better life.

It doesn't take a PHD to appreciate that all these low and no skilled workers are driving down the wage of poor American which have the same qualifications. They also qualify as minorities to satisfy equal opportunity laws.
You complain that single black mothers have to work two jobs to support themselves, their children yet your position on allowing people here who would do her job(s) for a fraction of what she's making is to 'lets show them love and welcome them?'
Do you have any idea what exponentially increasing the supply of cheap labor is doing to the poor uneducated African American communities? Have you assessed the issues in our major cities like Chicago?

perspective by the left. If there is no proposal to strengthen the border, little verbalized desire to stop what is clearly a crises (not to mention the proposal by some that ICE be eliminated) the appearance is that illegals are welcome.
I am not being argumentative. If one is looking for a conservative who would gladly grant one time amnesty to current illegals who meet certain criteria in exchange for a working and secure border, I'm your guy. But as I look toward the left for a desire for a secure border I dont see anyone proposing one. The immediate past democratic presidents at least said they wanted one but little action was taken and no one in that party is now even saying those things.
If this is not the case I am very willing to see another view.

I agree that there are extremists on the left who probably want an open border, mainly some politicians for the sake of votes. I just don't think we've seen anyone here on this board who advocates that. I believe we all want some type of border security but disagree on what that can be. The problem is we get too much of the either/or fallacy out of the far right on this board who argues that if you don't support their view of border security, then you must want open borders. That's ludicrous.
The problem is that side also wants a wall, which won't work and will waste money, they applaud ill treatment of immigrants at the border, and they also champion armed private citizen thugs patrolling the border to do lawd knows what. Those three stances are absurd, but opposing them doesn't mean advocating open borders.

Then you have the ninth circuit, 'Trump can't executive order to deport children from S America...Trump can't undo Obama's EO with a new EO...' Those judges foil every effort to stop illegals. So yeah, you can say your leaders and party doesn't want open borders but everything they do and say contradicts you.
It's a crisis. Trump told you it was coming and begged for money to stop it and you wouldn't give him a win. Now look what your politics is doing.
We're had more illegal aliens come across that southern border in the first half of this fiscal year than the entire previous year. But hey, it's cool with me because he'll run on exactly what beat Hillary's stinky panties off in 2016.

I can't agree here, man. Homelessness often boils down to a mental illness issue, and too many of our veterans have suffered PTSD and other issues while our government has ignored them. I truly believe many of them can't help their situation.

As for the veterans, yes, they should be given a lifetime of gratitude as they have left their families behind to go serve their country. Some families in which will not have their loved ones returned to them and the reason this country will fall is because of people like you. Where we have “all the jobs anyone could ever need” and “all they want is a better life” that’s all fine. But what about the African American community who have to live in poverty ridden cities where there’s no jobs because most of them have went over seas (AKA Detroit). What about going to through nearly any downtown in any city ( big and small) and seeing our own homeless men, women and children in the streets? And people like you who want to freely bring people into the u.s who haven’t contributed to American society in any shape or form? Wake up!

I’ve never said that immigrants didn’t need help. I’m saying as an American tax payer in which I give over $900 per month in healthcare and over $800 bi weekly to the U.S government in taxes, I would choose that my money goes towards people ( veterans, children and women who our government vowed to protect). My Christianity belief is that all people who need help should get help but why not start with the ones that you see in front of you every day? I’m guessing you’ve never handed a 20 bill to a woman and kid who were on the side of the road? I have on multiple occasions.

In America in 2019 there’s absolutely no excuse for living in poverty. There are more jobs than there are citizens right now. The problem is we’re spoiled.
Those people risking their lives to get here are willing to do the work that our welfare recipients won’t.

I agree there shouldn’t be any poverty on earth in 2019 and some of our own welfare recipients are on welfare who shouldn’t be. That’s why we need to implement drug testing and other measure to insure it’s being used as it should be. It still doesn’t answer the questions for the children who aren’t capable of working because of their ages? Why aren’t we feeding the kids in right front of us first? As far as being spoiled... I agree, there’s no balance between being rich and being poor in poverty and they shouldn’t be a gap that huge but I can sit here and tell you honestly that everything that I’ve earned in life, I’ve worked for it.

I know people who stuggle. It’s mostly because of priorities. They feed their addictions or live above their means. And even these people are rich compared to the people coming across the border.

And how are you defining poverty? A roof over your head and running water is rich compared to a lot of places in this world.

I think that's a super question about the homeless veterans. It infuriates me as well.
It infuriates me how...
-The war hawk politicians of our country are eager to go to start wars, and they do little to help our veterans once they return home.
-The U.S. citizens who love "Murica kickin' ###... turn up the Toby Keith" and think war is a football game, cheer for it, attack any fellow citizens who oppose it, and then slink into their holes when it all goes south. All the while, if they saw a homeless vet on the street, they'd make some snide comment about how he needs to get a job or is probably on drugs. Looking squarely at you, all P&R Bush-lovers who cheered for Iraq in 2003-04. You weren't one of those guys, were ya Hunt?
-How almost every infatuated Trump lover I meet, particularly in my neighborhood, spouts off a good game about our military, but they completely disrespect veterans suffering from PTSD.
So yeah. Definitely. I'm definitely down for better treatment of our veterans. Would be nice if war hawks, right wingers, and Trumpies actually felt the same way.

Speaking of which, remember that con artist who raised money for the border wall, and people on here got upset when some of us pointed out that this had to be a con? I can't remember if tigermanac or bengaline called me the most names after that.
Turns out the dude really was trying to swindle people and GoFundMe took the $20 million away from him and refunded it to all the donors. But hats off to the people who fell for it. At least they got their money back.

1) Every veteran deserves all the love we can give them. How we treat our Vets should have nothing to do with anything else. Period.
2) Show us the data on all this free money illegal immigrants receive. I'm willing to read it if you can find it.
3) I have had many- yes many- immigrants in my home. Have you? Have you ever listened to their stories, know where they come from? Do you even know an immigrant? BTW, every immigrant I've every known worked his or her ### off AND paid taxes just like you and me.
4) I don't assume to love people better than anyone else. But I do try to love everyone as much as I can. Remember the words Thomas Jefferson wrote "all men are endowed with certain unalienable rights among them life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
All men means all of us have rights grant to us by God. They fact that you believe immigrants should not have the same rights means you disagree with Thomas Jefferson. You have John 3:16 in your signature. "For God so loved the world...." without clause or regret. Your belief that some people are more worthy of love and acceptance is in conflict with the way God loves all of us. I'd encourage you to read Matthew chapter 25, especially verse 40.
You aren't wrong about our vets. They need help. My father is a vet. My cousins are vets. Some of them suffer from PST and can't keep a job.
What I object to is the limited scope of who "deserves" love. If you'd like to have an enlightened conversation about how to improve our immigration process, then let's have that. Opposing Trump's antiquated ideas doesn't mean I'm for open borders and chaos. This isn't a binary debate.

I strongly disagree with the man on many issues. And I disagree with his general disposition on things. He lives in a world where resource are scarce and only some people deserve the best. I disagree on both accounts.
All life has value. Being an American citizen does not make us some higher form of human being.

Yea I’ve never understood the whole American pride thing. I’m grateful to be born in a country like America but why would I be proud of it to the point that I think I’m better than people from other countries.....
Its ironic that it’s the evangelical Christian side that seems to be most like this, you know the people who are supposed to be following the guy who stood up for the oppressed and marginalized in society.
