Allstate Playoff Predictor has Clemson’s chances at

48% and Georgia’s at 46%.

eSECpn in full-court press to lecture the Committee on how they must put Georgia in. Can you imagine the pressure the SEC and their media pimps ESPN will try to put on Saban to allow Georgia to keep it close in the SECCG so they can have a “close quality loss” to help them get in?

There is about a 48% chance that we run the table, and if we do, we are in. I agree that there is a better than 50-50 chance that Georgia loses one or more game, which will put them on the fence at best unless they win the conference. Might not be viewed as fair for us to get in over Georgia, but they are in the SEC by choice.

I believe that they still have a tougher road to the playoff than we do. But I have fewer questions about their team than I do ours. There is plenty of season left, though, to get my questions answered.

Yep.

The prediction must assume DJ overcomes the yips and the OL gets better as we face lesser competition. By the end of the year the team should look much better than they did on Saturday. If they fail to develop, that will be telling and all the calls for coaching changes will be clearly justified.

Heather “Make me a sammich” Dimwitch was railing about the “head-to-head” as if this close game should take the decision out of the Committee’s hands. But in December this loss will be ancient history. If the team responds and develops that should be what they look at. Who are the “best four” in December, not September.

From an offensive play calling standpoint, we've gotten so used to having our heads up our bungholes, it seems normal.
