Sorry, yeah, I know, new thread, but whatever. TigerCook's weekend gnashing of the teeth (copied and pasted off a chain email) over what Satan wants or what he would do to ruin America.
Inevitably, posts like that are going to have a line like this, "Soon, I would evict God from the courthouse and the schoolhouse and then from the houses of Congress."
Ah. Yeah. And that's pretty much the actual nut graph of this issue. It's the desire to have God/Jesus forced into the public sector of schools, courts, government, etc. That's what it's really about.
So, here's the thing I don't get when I hear people lamenting about what the Debil is doing to erode America or how we need more Jesus back in government (which goes completely against the Constitution AND perpetuates the absolute myth that our nation was founded on "Judeo-Christian principles"). The Bible says it's completely unnecessary because they're going to win in the end.
Because (spoiler alert) these folks are supposed to already know their side wins, according to Revelations. The book spells out pretty clearly that those who believe (i.e. the people complaining) will be raptured away. Yes, there will be a move away from God and Jesus and what not, but they don't have to worry. They're getting a fast pass to heaven.
After that, and I'll summarize the #### out of it, everything goes to #### and it looks like the old Debil is gonna win. But more people come to Jesus, they fight out the big battle, and they all triumph in the end. The Debil loses.
So, since they know their side is going to come out victorious and especially themselves, why such a push to jam Christianity into the public sector so much? Why do you need it in schools, or courts, or Congress, or every other ounce of government? Theocracies only result in oppression; desiring one shows a poor understanding of European history pre-America. In those days, you could be punished for simply following a different brand of Christianity.
So it's not really about fear of the Debil or a fear that evil will rise to consume America. Really, it's just a desire to force others to follow their religion. And to shut out anyone else who opposes it.

I personally don’t see the issue with posting your thoughts in a new thread. Sometimes threads get long and confusing. Especially if looking at on a phone.
However catahoula has called me out before for doing this same exact thing. Quit being such a hypocrite catahoula!!

Take all the good things away from any man, basic survival, human contact, love, etc... and he will resort to what our common culture considers evil. 10000 years ago it was called survival. That being said, the Debil is the GOP.
