was Turnipseed. A "behind the scenes" guy who absolutely worked magic on the recruiting/PR front. That was the one loss that will really sting, IMO.

forefront of all the "digital age" stuff. As can be seen, I, as a dinosaur, can't even properly describe it, but I know Turnipseed was great at it.
Coach Bates was a good coach, but he did NOT build the legend of Clemson D-Linemen. That tradition started well before he got here, and he carried it on.

Was there no one that was Turnipseed's understudy? I feel like what he was doing consistently will continue but maybe innovation will suffer a bit.

He eventually wants to be an AD and BV gave him a promotion working towards that.

Agree that Thad was very instrumental in making that aspect of recruiting great, but don’t underestimate Jordan Sorrels. He will continue to make this area of recruiting better. In fact, I don’t think you will see much drop off here.

Yeah during the earlier moves Turnipseed was seldom discussed, though his impact has been very consequential. Would put him right behind BV in terms of significance to the program.

I heard a take that Turnipseed had fulfilled his mission at Clemson with the facilities upgrades for football. In fact he took on the project management for Dabo’s mansion because he needed more things to do. He was looking for new challenges that weren’t available at Clemson these days.
