To the liberal line and pressure that so many other American institutions have.

Colleges and universities today in America are breeding grounds for radical liberalism. To think otherwise is to truly bury your head in the said.

How many of you TRULY know what takes place today on campus and what the environment is on campus?

I knew Clemson was one of the last public institutions to resist, but it was inevitable.

I do agree with your assessment that...

Just one point of clarification - it's not radical liberalism that is breeding on college campuses - it is radical Marxism which is the among the worst of all leftist ideologies.

These same BOTs that want to parade in front of the cameras that they are some kind of servants for racial injustice wouldn’t have a black man eat at his/her dinner table any more than a man on the moon. That’s my problem. The hypocrisy of it all. Being forced by the mob to do something that you wouldn’t normally do isn’t something to take a bow over.

That's ludicrous. I don't buy that for a second.

know ALL of the BOT members and are aware of their personal lives. The last I knew, a few were black - is that no longer the case? If not, that is the next thing to correct.

Why would they think that? Most of academia would ban football entirely if they could and they hate anyone's guts who dares have an opinion different than their own. This kind of thing thing right in their wheel house. Groveling for positive media attention is what they live for.

saying . . . By Clemson changing the name of a building that was named after not only a racist but someone who so vehemently despised another set of people he joked about ways to kill them they have suddenly caved to liberalism? Definitely thought that we stood for liberty and justice for all. I'll be the first to say i never wanted building names changed from what I always knew but after learning the history behind the name I'm not sure why we would glorify the name of someone so vile.

I'm definitely NOT a liberal. This was the right thing to do though. I hope and pray we can find the grace to support and love those around us as we are all fallen humans in this world.

cause Thomas Green Clemson owned slaves, therefore he had to be a racist.

Sure, there will be some people that want to change the name but they will likely get shot down because TG Clemson doesn't have the outspoken vitriol and criminal behavior that Tillman and Calhoun did.

Read about his history:

But you fcking don’t get it! Logic and facts DO NOT MATTER. TGC owned slaves. Probably raped some women...who knows but it is easy enough to find or make up some bad $hit.

Yep and anyone who is for one, but not the other, is a virue signalling mental midget. When are we going to dynamite the Washington Monument? I want to go take pics of the end result of all this open mindedness and tolerance of the feelings of others.

As long as the building is reverted back to its original name.

Got to remember Clements is not from the South . Worse president since Ashley.

T.G. Clemson was not from the south either. What does that have to do with anything?

He doesn't have the background necessary to make important decisions.

Clements is the best since RC Edwards.

He is entirely supportive of the Athletic Department and understands the value of a strong sports program.

If you enjoy where Clemson football is right now, it’s bloody difficult to dislike Clements.
