political topics.” He’s insulting because Trump because he’s an awful person, politics aside. If it was about his politics, he wouldn’t be fine with Pence in charge either. Trumpies have a very hard time understanding that many people hate Trump because of the person that he is, not because of his politics. It’s a lot easier to just dismiss them as “Libs” or “elitists” instead of accepting the fact that their lord and savior is an a$$hole child. If Trump didn’t behave the way he does, and was mentally stable, I’d vote for him and his politics in a heartbeat over any of the Dem candidates come November.

I seriously think it quite unfortunate the things he says and inappropriate....but I think some people appreciate someone that refuses to back down to political correctness and other pressures.
I’m neither defending him nor condemning him. I think he is thin-skinned and never admits when he’s wrong. Those are poor character traits.
But he didn’t invent division and condescension. Some people just choose which leaders are offensive based on political leanings.

the ones that admire Trump's lack of "political correctness" and not yielding to "other pressures" (whatever that means).
What specific examples can they cite? When he went after minorities? Women? Disabled? War heroes? veterans? Refugees? Trump's inability to tell the truth? His threats? etc..
Just curious what they would admire.
I don't think anyone thinks Trump invented division and/or condescension. But that seems to be all he offers.

I said “appreciate” and you said “admire.” They are very different. I can appreciate your different point of view. Doesn’t mean I admire it.
When I said “other pressures,” probably not the best phrase, but not wanting to get in an argument about what is perceived by many to be a concerted effort to indoctrinate the masses into progressivism through our education system and mass media.

however, I will say that the way you used "appreciate" in your original post read more like "condone" or "favor" than the way you used it just now (which is more synonymous with "tolerate"). Which, while I still agree that "admire" is a stronger word to use that may be inaccurate for that reason, I'd argue it fits with the original intention behind why you used "appreciate."
As for your the "other pressures" clarification, wouldn't any republican president fit that definition of going against progressivism? Point being that Trump isn't unique in that regard. Trump's uniqueness comes from the lying, bullying, thin-skinned, inappropriate, unethical, divisive, selfish, and unchristian way he goes about his life.
Which is why I'd really like to hear from people that actually think positively about Trump because of all that. I'd like to know why or at least what examples they could cite to support them liking that behavior.

but those traits are why everyone appreciates him? His refusal to back down is because he is thin skinned.
Sarah Sanders didn't get the full throated Trump defense because she backed down. She should have doubled down on stuttering being funny to laugh at and then Trump wold have given her old job back.

He let the dems slicker him with a promise to fix immigration problems in lieu of amnesty for about 20 million illegals already here. That was his biggest mistake, trusting democrats. Not that pubs can be trusted either but Reagan had it going on until that happened. I'm not saying Trump couldn't screw up just as badly but he hasn't yet.
I didn't jump on the Trump bandwagon without much consideration. I thought he was someone who would tell the public lies and feed them candy. He's kept more promises than any POTUS in my lifetime.
