All Clemson Alumni

Oct 9, 2015, 7:58 PM

If you are an alumnus of Clemson you should have gotten an email from the President's office. I received mine on Sept 25. The gist of the email was that the Board has established a task force. The purpose of this task force is to determine how best to represent the history of our university. The task force is seeking input from both students and alumni. I expect this has to do with some wanting to change the name of Tillman Hall. No matter which side of the issue you are on, you should respond to this request.

I know this is the wrong forum, but this forum is the most widely viewed. This was brought to mind because of the flap over the Mexican night in the dining halls. Apparently a lot of students liked this, but because one person was 'offended' it may be stopped. Why not just avoid situations that offend you!

Oh well, this is the world we live in. America, the land of the aggrieved, and the home of the scared.

Please send emails to Dr Hallenbeck and Pres Clements about how outraged you are that the university apologized for Mexican Day. How disappointing.
