I do need to quit searching at some point.

But sometimes I look for the reason why I drink the way that I do. Occasionally, I find it… the reason, that is. As soon as I do find it, I try to hide it as quickly as I can. Sometimes, I feel like I have left a trail here. Some way to find me. It terrifies me to think that I may find myself someday. There are things that I struggle to handle without the constant searching. The searching, keeps me from facing the things I’ve faced.
Does that make sense?
It does to me, sometimes.

My peak drinking was in my mid-20s, living alone and working

from home. Never during the day, but almost every night. Some nights there were indoor cigars in the tailgating chair playing Legend of Zelda. Other nights it was drunk trolling on the Mange. My buddy described it best, and affectionately: "You just sit around and drink and see what happens."
I think the drinking was mostly a product of boredom. I wasn't involved in any extra-curriculars. I was single at the time. And the friends I had didn't see much of during the week.

I spent my 20's as a devout Christin, never drinking. Now that that's no longer a hindrance, I'm making up for lost time.
