Ah, I remember the good ol' days when YouTubeTV was

just $50.00/month. Just got a notice that they're increasing the base subscription up to $73. That's roughly what I was paying for Dish when I switched to YTTV because it was cheaper. I usually pause it when it's not football season (like now!), but still - what are some good alternatives that won't be as expensive? I don't like paying that much money for me and my family to do absolutely nothing.

Everyone is doing the inflation thing except employers.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

Speak for yourself - my employer gave me a raise recently

of $0.80/hour. Not kidding. Eighty cents. That was almost an insult. I'll take it, but REALLY??

When I signed up it was $35/month. They advertised if you signed up by a certain date you wouldn’t need to pay the regular $40 for life. Once it went to $50 that little $5 discount disappeared.

Still a better product than cable or satellite. But wish they could get Bally back.

Sling Orange is $40/mo but doesn't include as many sports

Prime T.V. ( no relation to Amazon)

All you need is a fire stick. $10 a month and over 3000 channels. If it’s being televised, it on there. It also doesn’t buffer like Hulu is bad about doing

but is that one of those illegal iptv streamers? I always

Mar 16, 2023, 2:02 PM

just assume its spyware and you'll eventually regret it. If it seems to good to be true it usually is, or murphy's law is kinda where I stand on those. Just figure one day my bank account will have me locked out with one those illegal streams. paranoid i guess.

Had it for 2 years now. Each additional line is $5 a month. When daughter moved off campus I set her and her roommates up for $60 for 12 months .

I get it, I didn’t believe in it either. After 2 years it’s never not worked when I turned it on. I’m sure it’s not legal, but I also speed at times and having to pay charter for some of the stupid channels they make you get with their packages doesn’t seem exactly ethical either.

how do you pay? do they draft from your account?

Mar 16, 2023, 3:38 PM

or do you pay through paypal or something?

You have a link?

All I see is regular Amazon Prime.

Sling still lets you do the half and half thing

Mar 16, 2023, 1:59 PM

but there's a catch obviously. I can't remember but I believe you get the ESPN's but you don't' get acc network or maybe its ESPNU or something isn't included and you have to go get the other half to make it all make sense. Maybe its streams. The ESPN package you can only stream on one device and the other half you have 3 or 4 streams. They make it where you'll need the other half so its about the same.

I use YouTubeTV but may switch to Philo.***

Well DISH is a complete sh1tshow right now...Still haven't

Mar 16, 2023, 2:11 PM

recovered from the ransomware attack 3 weeks ago. I can at least get to the ESPN and ESPN+ app now, but can't access HBOMax or DISH Anywhere. Have called them and they have no idea when they will get things straight. So now thinking of ditching DISH for YouTubeTV or something else.

Cable companies are starting to lower prices if you call and negotiate. Still higher than streaming but way easier and better.
