to a SOU type address I've seen in a long time. Much better than Rubio/water bottle and Bobby Boy Jindal

"I've been called the N-word many times"

and in the same breath
"There's no racism in America"
The black person claiming there's no racism pays handsomely in this country. Ask Candace Owens.

Two questions:
Apr 29, 2021, 2:19 PM
|
|
1) Where does he say "There's no racism in America"? I just pulled a transcript and cannot find it?
2) Just out of curiosity, what courses do you teach, and at what level (high school? middle school?), and in what state?

Number 1 is a valid question, but #2 is not. Please do not try to dig into someone's personal life and details.
That #### should have gone out the window here years ago.
FBC is discussing a valid topic and grilling him on his profession isn't the proper response. T3's is worse but that's on brand for him.

Totally understand your response, Cata. I'm not

here trying to Dox anyone. FBCoach got on here a while back and made a reference to teaching Economics...I've been trying to clarify that with him for a long time, because I honestly thought he taught Phys Ed and...just my opinion...his perspective on economic policy does not indicate someone who is in a position to teach others on the topic.
But I'll just assume at this point that his comment was a lie and move on because yes, I definitely don't think he needs to share his personal information on here.

That's precisely the problem. That statement. You cannot judge his ability to teach any subject simply based on any comments he makes on this message board, nor are you able to determine his effectiveness as a teacher.
He doesn't try to critique your job or call you out for an inability to do it based on your opinions. Granted, Coach may put more info about himself out here than he should, but that's still no excuse.
He gave his opinion. Turning the conversation into something about his ability to do his career is unnecessary and uncalled for.

Oh. Sorry, let me amend my previous comment:

Nonsense.
God knows you love a high horse, Cata, but give it a rest. I won't deny that I carried on the joke longer than necessary to tease FBCoach about avoiding the question, but he's the one that tried to claim authority by saying he teaches on the subject. I'll happily ask him to clarify that if I see fit, and without concern for your sensibilities on the topic.

Sure, get defensive and say I'm on a high horse. That's fine. There have been too many people on here in the past who have tried to get way too personal simply because they didn't like someone's opinion.
Your initial response was out of bounds. Period. If you don't like it, that's fine. I'm particularly critical because I assume you are too smart to engage in such practices based on your post history.
Again, I know Coach puts a lot of his personal details out there, but your post was clearly looking to attack his ability to do his job simply for stating an opinion you didn't like. If the intent was something else, by all means. Correct me.
Giddyup.

I dont think he said there is no racism in America. He said America isn't a racist country. There is a difference inmho.
And an opinion I'd agree with. Most everyone isn't racist or bigots or any other ism.

it really came across more of a dare than an observation. I mean if Tim Scott does not see racism, it is time to step it up.

I wouldn’t use quotation marks if you’re not going to actually quote something. HTH

Of course a few individuals are racists. Saying the country is systemically racist is a lie. Just because someone gets called a name does not make everybody a racist.
