Actually win the CWS this year. Our pitching is light-years behind what is necessary to compete and win at the very highest level. I understand the frustration but if anybody anticipated us to make a run in the CWS this year you simply weren't paying attention.
The fact that we actually won the ACC and inspired hope to advance to a super/CWS is a true testament to our coaching.
This team hit their ceiling. We had opportunities to advance last night to a super, but 100% would have been exposed in supers/CWS. Time to hit the recruiting trail and regroup for next year.
Excellent first year for this coaching staff.

It didn't help that our most consistent hitter was suspended for today and what would have been his last at bat last night. That BS call impacted 2 games.

Thank you for such a reasonable and well put post. All these folks who crawled out of the woodwork that haven’t watched Clemson baseball are going nuts, but the rebuild is way ahead of schedule. I’m disappointed about last night and today (so far) too, but I am very excited about the future of Clemson baseball.

Providing a great path to Omaha for us had we taken care of business last night and had the upper hand on UT. CWS spacing of games gives almost any team that makes it hope of doing some damage

Hope all are right. Seems we have been in rebuild mode since 2010. It is extremely frustrating to watch the Tigers do the same thing over and over once making it to the post season. Nevertheless, I would have been happy for the team to make the tournament after missing it the last two years. However, it is not a good look to be the 2nd team ousted in our own ballpark when you draw the #4 seed. Had a gut feeling that we were done last night after losing, but I had hoped I was wrong. Very disappointing but I’ll be rooting for them again next year as always. Go Tigers.

Certainly not shocked or disappointed.
In terms of our roster (especially pitching) we had zero business winning the conference and becoming a national seed.
Weren't we predicted to finish like 4th in the ATLANTIC division during preseason?
