WHY are we RELUCTANT to use the "Jumbo Package" on 4th down?

For example, When we decided to go for it on 4th & goal at the one, we already had Wilkens and Dex lined up in the backfield ... then we called time out, changed the play and were promptly stoned at the line of scrimmage and turned the ball over to The Pack. That TD would have totally changed the complexion of the ball game.

So ... why not run Jumbo Package" on every critical short yardage situation? It's pretty much unstoppable. And we're pretty helpless with a standard power run play otherwise.

I don't get it. We'd prefer that Watson take a hit than to send our two 300 pounder's ahead of Fuller to pave the way for an easy score??

I know people say that we shouldn't "risk" Dexter and Wilkens in those situations, but look ... we use Wilkens for fake punts and Dex is on the KO coverage team so it seems silly to fear for their safety while throwing a simple lead block.

Am I missing something??

Totally agree, it's pretty much unstoppable and if you want to pass out of it because the defense over sells out then you have two ginormous blockers as extra protection.
