That Monte Lee, if hired, is going to come in to Clemson and sabotage the program or something? I don't understand the "he's a coot" fear here.
Do you really believe that he would jump ship after a year for a lateral move, to a school who snubbed him a few years back? Doubtful.
Also, side note. Yes, he was an assistant under Tanner. Tanner also has two national championships. That's not a bad guy to learn the trade from, all coot hate aside.

I'm one of those. I just wonder, since he was close to Tanner, will Tanner come after him if they can the coot coach next year ? That is my only concern as to how he would handle that situation.

I imagine he would owe Clemson a big buyout if he left after only one year regardless of where he went.

Yep, and it would make dem coots madder than h&ll with knowing he was an assistant to Tanner with all of them being tater haters. And now one of their past is trying to beat them a few times a year with a group of solid orange taters!!!

That he is a terrific coach there. He might would be terrific here too. But if we are playing ifs, he is not my first choice.

Do you think Frank Howard, Danny Ford ,and Dabo Swinney had or have no desire to beat the H--l out of Alabama. I don' t think Tanner spent any time trying to figure out how to undermine the NC State baseball program. Get real, people.
