I really hope CJ succeeds as a coach at Clemson. He is such a good role model for these young men.

I love the man. I just hope he's the man that can succeed at everything his title envelops.

Look at the bottom of the front finder on my 2004 Harley softail custom, and you will see what has CJ meant to me as a Tiger, a great Tiger, and his #28 has been on that fender since his senior year at Clemson, that is when I had the custom paint scheme painted on my Harley. You can't see them in the picture but, there are ghost paws in all of the orange flames, and I told the guy that done my paint job, to put CJ's number at the bottom of the front fender where it's been since November 2009, and it will remain there as long as I own it, and I've had it since 2004 when I purchased it from the Greensboro, N C, Harley shop, it was still in the wooden shipping crate the first time I first saw it. It was Pearl White, and it stayed that way until I made the last payment on it in 2009, and a lot of $$$$$ went into the custom work, with a beefed up engine included!!!

CJ is the picture of “Clemson All IN”

CJ sells Clemson in everything he does, and he fell in love with Clemson in college and sold Clemson long before he became a coach.
He will be a great coach and leader. Dabo has been very good at identifying great coaches.
He will keep striving and growing to get better each and everyday. How far he goes in coaching is yet to be decided.
His loyalty to Clemson & Dabo won’t be in question!
Football is fading but CJ/Dabo/Clemson are not.
Go Tigers thank you Thunder and Lightning!

Years later still get chills watching that.
What a night that was?
Wish James Davis could have got the yards needed to whole the rushing record until ETN broke it.??

After the Miami game with the complete domination of CJ on special teams and offense, I knew that I was watching the best player in college football at that time. He was a program changing recruit. He got Randy Shannon fired after that inexplicable kick off before the end of the second half.
Our playoff run started many years before 2015 on the day CJ signed with us. Took years to build the program, but CJ was the key piece

That was an awesome play, but the video didn't do CJ his due justice, CJ made a ton of plays during his playing time that made defenders look like they weren't very good at at all, and in those days, we actually played against some ACC teams that had some really good defenses, and CJ made them look pretty bad,
CJ Spiller, James Davis, Jacoby Ford, Dwayne Allen, and Tajh Boyd, is just a few names from back in those days that helped Clemson, and Dabo to become what we've been as a FB team for the past 10 years. It was those guys, and several more that could be added to this list of the 2009 guys that were special, and who made other elite players want to come and play for Clemson and Dabo Swinney!!! I thank them all for choosing Clemson!!!!

Need Sammy in there. This is when we got ecstatic over signing a 5*. We signed a bunch since then but the NIL has caused a regression in our 5* prospects as they are chasing the money! Money they are being paid before they play a down of college football.

After Spiller’s last game, I remember thinking he might have been

have been the best Clemson player that I’d ever seen and that maybe I’d never get to see anyone as good as him in orange and white. Since then, I’ve seen players such as Sammy Watkins, Deshaun Watson, Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne play for the Tigers and I’ve enjoyed the 2 national championship runs.
We’ve had a lot of great players come through but I truly believe that CJ Spiller started it all by being the first elite 5* player to choose Clemson.
PS, this was not intended to imply that we didn’t have elite players before him. We’ve had a lot of great elite players, especially on defense during Dannny Ford’s tenure. However, since recruiting rankings were started, Spiller was our first big time get that I can remember.

I recall JD was an established 1000 yd rusher, and he assisted in actively recruiting CJ to be his running mate. Classy move and worked out pretty well for the Tigers!
