to not have his decisions and reasoning for his choices second guessed... I mean listen.. I'm not saying there hasn't been some things that have raised some eyebrows from me in terms of his reasoning or whatever.. But when I look at the big picture, he's EARNED the right to potentially have those decisions either be a mistake or be another home run like he's done so many times before.. It could ultimately blow up in his face promoting Streeter.. promoting Wes.. not going after the big name hire.. shying away from the transfer portal this long.. and not signing huge recruiting classes to address attrition associated with the transfer portal.. But, only time will tell and all the good decisions he's made in the past and the level of success he has brought this program in such a short period of time should buy him a little grace in terms of questioning his reasoning.. Here's to hoping a lot of our "fretting" and hand wringing was all for nothing! Onward to 22'!

I believe Dabo had some "wiggle room" with the Defensive Coordinator hire. What I mean by that is I don't think Dabo needs or needed to hit a homerun on the defensive side of the ball.............if BV was a "10" as a DC and Wes ends up being a "7"......we can "survive" that.

The offensive side is a little different. He promoted our QB coach to OC. Maybe he'll be good, but we're coming off one of our WORST offensive seasons in years and a PART of that was the play of our QB.........again, coached by Streeter.

We have no choice now, but to let the DC and OC hires play out, BUT I don't care how you spin it Dabo's roster management since the portal's become "a thing" (last 3-4 years) has been atrocious...Dabo can be given the benefit of the doubt on his coordinator hires this time, but to me he's EARNED any and all the second guessing/questioning of his roster............We should not be in this scholarship deficit that we're in right now.............and before you say it, we were going to be short prior to the decommits and coordinators leaving, it's just gotten worse since they left.
