Coot: "What an embarrassing beatdown, there is no way you guys are the 3rd ranked team in the nation"
Me: "We are 9th"
Coot: "Huh?"
Me: "Not as embarrassing as losing to the pathetic Vols"
Coot: "That's the SEC, every week is tough. Nothing like the ACC."
Me: "You realize we beat the SEC team that beat the SEC team that beat you?"
Coot: "Say that again?"
Me: "We are 3-1 against the last 4 ranked SEC teams we have played"
Coot: "That's a bunch of crap!"
I lost interest in the conversation at this point as I knew the next comment would be "fear the thumb" or some other parroted phrase. Another Coot fan who really doesn't follow football, they are all the same, and have a very weak grasp of the sport as history is only 4 years in the coot mind. This fella is really an alright dude, but a coot is a coot is a coot!

I said, "No, I'm not. You okay lol"
He then said, "I bet you are not....! Hey we got beat on the road by 2 points in a relatively meaningless game. Ya'll caught a beatdown at Home on national TV in the so called "Biggest Game in ACC History."
I responded, " 'beat on the road in a RELATIVELY MEANINGLESS GAME' exactly! You lost to an unranked, mediocre Tennessee, we lost to the number 2 team in the country."
I'm still waiting for his response.

You won't hear back with that fact finder to him. That is one thing that coots don't want any part of, facts. That voids everything in their entire conversation. Like dlc has already said, you can't fix stupid. Just like waiting on the coots response would be stupid.

If he were as smart as a fifth grader, (which I'm sure he wasn't), he should have said, "Talk all you want about denial, but you know what's coming your way again in Columbia on the last day of November, don't you?" Of course, no "coot friend" that anyone ever knows (or even very transparently creates) on this board would ever be that witty. LOL!!

shows how unknowledgeable he is on the subject, with mizzou beating florida and georgia losing again all the coots had to do was win and beat mizzou next week to almost lock up the east.. coot doesn't even know what's going on with his own team

They relish the "SEC loss" because "their conference is so tough". Meanwhile we've beaten LSU and UGA in our last games against them. That's something that USuC can't say. They just couldn't stand the fact that we were getting all of the attention and no one was saying a word about them since their golden boy couldn't recreate "the hit" this year.
