Acc vs Sec
Oct 13, 2016, 9:39 AM

My opinion is that the Coastal is stronger due to the new coaches hire but still not as strong as the Atlantic. I think the Acc is better than the Sec so far this season. I just hope that we continue to drag the Sec. Your thoughts?

The acc is much improved and is now a respectable conference, but it still isn't as good as the sec.

FSU being suspect this year doesnt help. But who does the SEC have? Bama I think we all can agree is legit, but after that? I dont think there is a single elite team.

Well you can say the same thing about the acc. Who does the acc have that's elite this year besides Clemson?

I think Louisville could wax every SEC team except Alabama, and that one would be close. FSU could probably beat Texas AM and Tennessee but it would be close.
The ACC top 3 is the best in the country. Slightly ahead of the Big 10 because I'm not sold on Michigan just yet.

Too early to tell what Vt is yet, but they and Miami and at least as good as the SEC West mid tier teams and better than all of the East except MAYBE Tennessee.

ACC sweep on rivalry week.

Too bad there is no chance of 1 vs 1, 2 vs2, ect...pretty sure that would be close to a sweep as well, especially considering FSU already beat Ole Miss.

There are 3 mismatches on rivalry week. There is only one game that's a toss up.
Hard to judge conferences on that.

If the roles were reversed, you $EC homers wouldn't hesitate for a second to judge the conferences based solely on that.

FSU has won like 5 straight over UF , and they are about to make it 6 . Florida would be a toss up against NC State .

Whatever makes you feel better....
As long as you admit that in the state of SC....ACC>SEC all day....and it's always gonna be that way.

Coastal already lost two marquee games against the SEC East
Oct 13, 2016, 9:55 AM
|
|
Although they were officially neutral, they were basically home games for the SEC East teams.
Georgia beat UNC Tennessee beat Virginia Tech
I'd expect Clemson to crush SC, FSU to beat Florida, and Louisville to destroy UK at the end of the year though.
GT vs UGA should be close.
Based on all of this, I'd say the ACC Coastal still sucks. The SEC East sucks just as much though.

against a #3 Louisville team... AND STILL WON THE GAME, LOL. VT may be better and I am glad they are as I respected Beamer ball although I hated it at the same time. Fuente will be successful and get VT back to the respect they should have.
Turnovers are a huge part of the game, it has bit Clemson quite a few times that I care not to think about(2013 FSU first offensive play, rrrggghhh).

I think the difference is that Louisville turned it over 3 times as well and did not take advantage of all 5 of your turnovers. Tennessee turned it over once and it was when they were already up big. In no way am I saying we are better than Clemson or anything, but I also think that that was the main difference in y'all beating Louisville and us losing to Tennessee.

When sec was on top they started the sec network and put a huge bullseye on their backs especially with the sec chanting etc throughout the conference (except Bama the flagship).
They've worked hard to protect their investment but the gig is up. They're even losing the favorable bowl matchups. Remember when they said the sec west was the best division in history? And stunk it up in bowl season? It's been a steady decline since (save for Bama). Finebaum is a joke (wrote the book "my conference is better than your conference".
Let's try a different question: which conference has better coaches in place?
If you looked at them like stocks it would be high time to buy ACC and sell the crap out of SEC.

Our turnovers, at least 3 of them anyway, directly cost us points off the scoreboard. So, in that fact, yes they most certainly did take advantage.

credit in the world to Tennessee. They took advantage of our mistakes and won the game. However, we beat them in every statistical category except turnovers and the scoreboard. That score is not a reflection of who was the better team that day.

ACC is Better Right Now, MONEY TALKS
Oct 13, 2016, 4:18 PM

ACC was on ABC prime time two weeks in a row. Clemson Louisville and Florida State Miami. That is the money game, where advertisers pay the most money. The people who job it is to pick the best games, they picked ACC. Sorry SEC, you are falling behind.
This week it is Ohio State Wisconsin. Still no SEC.
Sec so sad, tooooooo bad

The reason theres not many SEC games on the ABC primetime slot, is because they have been in a long contract with CBS for the first pick of the best SEC game for their 3:30 primetime slot.

The reason theres not many SEC games on the ABC primetime slot, is because the SEC has been in a long contract with CBS for the first pick of the best SEC game for their 3:30 primetime slot. If it wasnt for that, there would be more SEC games on the ABC slot. Im a fan of the ACC & SEC, but to be honest IMO, thats the cold truth why theres not to many SEC games played on the ABC slot.
