ACC Gets A Blackeye w/Va. Tech Losing to Old Dominion

Anybody think this is going to cost The Tigers?
I mean, BC loses on the road(true road game) to a winless Purdue big ten team. Va. Tech loses to (what conf. is ODU in)? And they were I believe winless!
They won't give the Tigers room to breath from now on. What's crazy is these teams will end up playing above their heads when they play CU. Tigers still win but maybe not by as many points as the experts think it should be. But, roster to roster we are as talented as anyone! Only saving grace with the schedule we have remaining! You hope BC can bounce back and get ranked again. Maybe some other opponents can get ranked by seasons end to bolster the resume!
I have to admit; getting a bit worried now! The committee when looking at resumes may hold it against us!

I think Clemson won't have any losses by year's end - and two wins against SEC teams. Which means something to others.

What if they win all their games the rest of the way? Would they end up ranked again? Would that hurt us when we beat them in the championship game? Opinions?

records look like at the end of the season, but I think we are on a short leash now. Last year, we had the best resume, but that likely won't be the case this year. I think it will be difficult for us to get in with a loss, unless a couple of conference champs have two losses.
Even a one loss team that didn't win their CCG, could likely be ranked ahead of a one loss Clemson.
Virginia Tech and BC losing like they did today, did not help our case one bit!

We have our toughest game of the year next week. Cuse has an offense and will keep our D off balance. Once you get to the second level, CBV has problems.
Could be one of those pitt 16 shootout games. We have an nfl line but beyond that, very average. They’re trying to get the depth but can’t get there quick enough. We definitely need our injured players back next week.

Yeah he definitely needs to get in sync with Tee. He needs work with the underneath stuff and if Galloway is the only TE that can catch and get open over the middle then play him. Can’t tell me out of 4 TE that we don’t have one that can catch and rumble.

All About Clemson . . . . Not The Conference Posters!

To all of you who seem to "not get" why the ACC not looking strong is important; please go ask Big 12 and Big 10 conference champs questions on the subject!
No doubt; it's all about Clemson! We need to worry about Clemson. Take care of Clemson. All of which is fine. But, the point me and other posters are making is; "it's a little concerning given the struggles of our conference". "The playoff committee could very well not see any quality wins on our schedule and leave us out of the playoffs"! ***THAT'S THE POINT!***
I don't give a dolphins ear(LOL) about the rest of the ACC either. But, based on how teams get in or are kept out of the playoffs; it would be better if the rest of the ACC were "Quality Wins"!
The Big 10 is struggling a bit top to bottom too. So is the Pac 12. Big 12 best team Oklahoma had to go to overtime at home against Army! Army! Yet, we go on the road and play what ended up being a ranked TAMU team "in the rain" no less; win and it's not enough. Perception!
You all need to go back at previous years teams who were left out and examine the reasons to understand my post and the concern I have!
**By the end of the year Syracuse will be ranked. We need to knock them off; hopefully convincingly!

Ohio State got in when they didn't win their conference two years ago. Alabama got in when they didn't win their conference last year.
If we, Clemson--a team that got into the playoffs 3 straight years and won one national title, win out, but still don't get in this year, maybe we have to think hard about this whole playoff committee.
Also, in the past three playoffs, how many points did Big Ten teams score? --ZERO--
So, yeah, it just makes sense to pick teams in other conferences over us...NOT!

I understand that.
Get out of your need to "defend something".
I'm referring to "outside perception". I agree with you 100%.
Made two National title games both classics vs. the team the rest of the country is scared of.
Won one.
Went to another playoff.
Conference Champs not runner ups or division runner ups!
All that could still not be enough based on history of this committee!
They fall in love with the Hot Team near the end of the season!
Or they start looking at close wins too hard.
How about this for perspective. I hope you're right! But, based on how they have handled teams who didn't play a ton of ranked opponents our recent history may not be enough. Especially considering the fact "they love both Georgia and Bama" - see l.y. Ohio St. should be able to crush the rest of the Big 10. If Stanford continues to win will they leave out the Pac 12 two years in a row? Especially if they end up playing more ranked opponents?
Hopefully, we are to the point (to your point) the committee says, "their history" indicates they should be in. We will ignore who they beat!

I was thinking the same thing.
You wonder if ODU just didn't need the money. Usually the smaller school looks forward to the big pay check playing in the larger venue would bring!
