That awesome! I've enjoyed watching this team come of age and play very good basketball. They deserve all the praise they are receiving!

So will "the morons" be wrong if we finish 10-8

or 9-9 in the league with an early exit in the ACC tourney and no trip to the dance?

You can't have it both ways. This run suggests a team that either underachieved and/or was poorly coached in the pre-conference slate. They have now proven they are capable of doing what a typical CBB team can do.

The jury is out, and calling out those who feel like CBB has had his opportunity as morons is simply sticking your head in the sand. He has a veteran team, and the clear differences are the ability to make free throws and having 2-4 options on any given night that can go get a basket right now, but we've seen that ebb more than it flows with every other team he has had.

I hope we keep it rolling, and I hope CBB makes a run in the tourney and gets to the dance. If he does, he deserves to stay. If he doesn't, it's time for a change. I think great deal of CBB and really want him to be successful here, but he has had his opportunity, and it's time put up or move on.

Early on I was in the "he'll get a pass this year" camp, but the way they played in the early season with a veteran group was abysmal.

Or maybe it was a team still taking time to gel with a first year PG and figuring out the best rotation. If you've noticed the last few games, CBB has only been playing 7 or 8 guys. He has his guys dialed in now and we're seeing much more consistent play. I had hoped Ty Hudson would at least earn some PT as a Fr. but it's apparent he isn't ready yet. Still feel confident he'll develop into a contributor.

No argument there from me. Hope we keep it

going. If not, however, we should not take it as Gospel that the coach will/should be back next year.

If not, it will be another year of the same old same old a la Tommy Bowden.

It's rather convenient to ignore the effect of playing no home games. That's a dynamic to be factored into the team's performance and called for an adjustment period, too. Face it, the first half of the season, 'The Well' was as much an away venue for the Tigers as for the opponents. Now, it seems the team is settling into the routine they have to live with...and are doing well.

Believe me, no one was wavering more in their belief of CBB than me after that Georgia game; 48 pts and blown out of the gym by a mid tier SEC team. However, if you go back and look at the stats, you'll see that we played a 10 man rotation with Djitte getting the start at center. Ty Hudson took 8 shots and only made 1. Gabe Devoe took 8 shots and only made 2. The bench players had 11 fouls. Grantham and Roper shot horribly.

Basically, there was no rhythm and the whole team played off. I think it was CBB last experiment before ACC play and it failed miserably. Since that time, we've only lost to #5 UNC and played and much more consistent 7 man rotation. Hopefully we can keep it up.

If the team can beat The Hoos coming off of a loss

And playing in Charlottesville, they will definitely be deserving of some praise. That would be huge for the tourney outlook.
