Any team "CAN" win it all with 3-4 $30million #1 ranked recruiting classes in their program..........don't care who the coach is.
now, they'll still have to get past the other big dollar programs, but NIL will slowly eliminate the "non-big dollar programs" from contention.

I totally agree with your assessment of Jimbo Fisher as a person. He is a potty mouthed little narcissist that would make even Napoleon proud. However, his Naty at FSU proves he CAN win until his players, the fans and the administration learn what a jerk he is to deal with on a daily basis. You cannot talk to today's athletes like they are trash, while expecting them to perform for you, and Fisher does it constantly. The Aggies will keep loading up talent as they always do because they have the $$$$$ to do it and those oil wells just keep on pumping more every day. Give that Big Oil Money a few more 4-loss seasons and , just like at FSU, that place will implode as the vultures descend on the poor little man once again.

Kirby finally has so much talent that he might not be dumb enough to screw it up.
Jimbo = Kirby
If you will remember Jimbo's title team was so insanely talented that they hardly took a deep breath all season and he almost screwed that up in the title game against a much less talented Auburn team.

FSU had about 18 elite players on the field in 2013.
UGA is working with 21 elite players this season.
With a continued $30 million payroll, it's not far fetched to assume that Jimbo could get the talent level that UGA currently has.
Kirby has had too many options at QB and has struggled with the decision aspect of it.
Jimbo only had one option with Winston and that was clear in the years that followed. He couldn't screw it up for that one season.
Jimbo has shown since that when there is a decision to make at QB that he can screw that up too.

As we know, it takes a lot of determination and intensity, along with some good fortune (few injuries or COVID cases) to mold a champion. Also involves a lot of good coaching, on and off the field. Perhaps TAMU has the $$$, but I wonder if all the $$$ will screw up everything else. It has been known to create self-satisfied people, people who don't want to put in the necessary effort to perform on a championship level. In other words, to borrow a term from yesteryear, I wonder if all the loot will create a FAT CAT mentality, one where the team is soft and not playing at the absolute highest level. Thoughts?

I agree. Obviously elite talent is critical. However you could also get a bunch of “me” guys that don’t pull together. The richest teams do not always consistently win championships.

If they keep buying top recruiting classes, they definitely will win multiple nattys. Whichever school that has the biggest bank will run college football.

if A&M big boosters are spending $30 million per class and don’t get a ring real soon. You think coaches are on the hot seat now, wait until they’re 3 years and $100 million plus in and still haven’t beat bama out for the SEC or won the National championship. Jumbo’ hot seat will immediately become an ejection seat. Patience will be in even shorter supply.
