Now those Texas schools should be able to climb to the top like do in high school from the big $$$. This thing certainly opened up a monster can of worms. But, what can ya do....keep grinding and get what you can!

Don't worry Dumbo will coach them down...big mouth department at tamu...they have always been on the cusp of winning a natty...always seem to fall a little short! Had to leave big 12 cause they could not beat oky and texas...funny same reason missery left.

That's a good point. With $ comes responsibility and at some point the coaches and players both will have to produce results. If the coaches are relying on money to get these recruits and do nothing with them, then the whole idea will fold relatively quickly.
The same can be said for players too. If these recruits get a lot of money and then do not produce on the field then they do not have a great chance at succeeding at the next level.
Looking at you DJ

I believe these money guys will not mesh well with the team. Could be problems.

I'm actually interested to see how these 'pro' teams playout and see how much of a leash the coaches have if they start losing games.

A think another good part of it is their nearby rivals Texas and LSU (and in some ways Oklahoma) being down a bit down these days.

Too many teams. Also they still only have 85 scholarships.
These programs have had a financial advantage for decades but you still have to have the right people running the program

Right now, Jimbo is hitting his peak at A&M. Their 2022 class was going to be great anyway but beating Alabama sent it into orbit.
Exactly what happens in the next couple of years remains to be seen, but it's never looked better for Jimbo to create a lasting powerhouse. If their QB play improves (which is almost certain), they should contend with Alabama in the SEC West. Despite LSU's entrenched recruiting advantages because of the extreme loyalty of recruits in Louisiana, they will have a very tough time keeping up with the Aggies, much less Alabama.
At some point we all know Jimbo will wear out his welcome in College Station. He has a shelf-life. But if he can push that off for several years, I wouldn't be surprised if they win a CFP championship in the next 3-4 years.
I did not expect Jimbo to recruit so well in Texas. He is ripping it here and the best could be yet to come. Seriously, A&M's statewide profile for recruits is higher than it's ever been in the last 35 years.
For the record, I dislike Jimbo as much as anyone here. I'm trying to be logical with my assessment without allowing emotions to cloud things.
