New Story: Sunday night update: Watson's hand, starting center and Miami's best shot

Sunday night update: Watson's hand, starting center and Miami's best shot

The Clemson Tigers sit at 6-0 and are ranked 6th nationally, but face a stretch of games where they play four of the next six on the road. That starts Saturday with a trip to 4-2 Miami, and Swinney said he knows the Tigers will get the Hurricanes’ best shot. Photo by Joshua S. Kelly / USATODAY Full Story »

Glad to hear that Jay Guillermo will remain the starting center (at least for now). I think he has earned it on the field - his snaps have been on the mark even during the most challenging weather conditions we have played through in many years (i.e. Notre Dame and GA Tech). Definitely glad he came back to the team this summer with a renewed spirit.

have come out when the game was in hand. It's football but dont tempt fate when you see that they are putting Watson in the turf every play and you are up pretty comfortably and our d is in command.. Ask t bowden about Jacoby ford against Maryland that year.

He's tough. Saw him after the game and he just had ice on his hand. Everything else was A-ok

I know he is tough and coaches are smart. As a guy in the stands just would have liked a liitle caution especially after roughing passer call and a few other plays. We really did not need him in at that point. And tonight after waticng replay have the same opinion, but Gotigers and not arguing with anyone. Great win.

A win Saturday against Miami should be good enough,
