So, my wife was putting together her famous Mac and Cheese dish for church Thanksgiving dinner tonight... about 9pm...she got dizzy and sat down at the kitchen table. She then lost feeling in her right arm and leg and they went limp. She called to me and after a quick account of the situation we headed to the hospital... emergency room.
They wasted no time getting her in and running tests. They checked her into a room at 2:30am. CT scans, MRI, Sonic Ultra sound followed in the usual [post office] pace. Neurologist informed us she had a TIA (mini stroke) but no sign of harm to her brain. Yes!
But, we did learn she has a narrowing of her arteries in her neck...discussed possibilities of what that can cause. Outlook is better now than when we began this journey and I did get to bring her home a few minutes ago.
Dr visits to follow and options to treat to be discussed. But she is home and doing much better. If you can lift a quick prayer of thanks and for continue help to ensure no more events like this it will be greatly appreciated.
