Announcers: Welcome to quaint Clemson, South Carolina ...



... where 85,000 have gathered at Death Valley to watch the Tigers host the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. The Tigers will ride around to the top of the hill for the `"most exciting 25 seconds in college football...This time, the entire TV crew will be riding WITH the Tigers all the way to the top.



And HERE COME THE TIGERS, down the Hill. Just listen to that crowd.



And out of the other end ... HERE COME THE IRISH! I said ... HERE COME THE IRISH. Sorry, it appears Notre Dame is being delayed in the lockerroom for some reason.




Clemson wins the toss and defers. Notre Dame takes the kick....but the kick is over his head!



The Tigers recover in the end zone! Touchdown!

Notre Dame tries to shake off the early setback...meanwhile, their fans wonder ### just happened.



By the end of the first half, the scene goes from bad to worse for the Irish as injuries take their toll ...



While Clemson fans enjoy a rollicking first half. By game's end, Notre Dame's hopes of victory dissolve into a golden, hazy dream...



The Clemson faithful meet at the Paw to sing the alma mater.



As the Irish quietly fade away...



Looks like a good day to me. Go Tigers!
