That is great. All talk on this site about the SEC stems from some insecure, jealous nature. Our record against all competition, including the mighty SEC, is right at the top the last 10-12 years. As Clemson fans, we should be proud of who we are, not wish we could be someone else and that is what I see the fetish with all things SEC being.

We are just promoting the conference in which we will be a future member. It would look tacky to be badmouthing a conference we become a member of and then start praising it. Maybe even hypocritical, like that even matters anymore.

This is a harsh thing to say, but a good bit of all the SEC talk is driven by Gamecock envy. Many from SC have listened to 30 years of prideful SEC talk and believed a lot of the nonsense. Being in the SEC has done nothing for South Carolina. The SEC has also done nothing at all for Tennessee, Kentucky, Vandy,Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss State,Missouri or TAMU..
Lately some Clemson fans say our home games would be better in the SEC, conveniently forgetting SC is the program selling cheap season tickets at Costco or the fact we have more fans at our games than 7 SEC teams, including SC.
Some Clemson fans want to talk a lot about SEC money, you know as if money has done something for South Carolina.
The truth is that Clemson is a small school, we have always made a lot less money than most SEC teams and yet we stand above most SEC teams by most measures. In the last 45 years we rank above every SEC team but 2 in games won and in winning percentage. In those same 45 years, no SEC team but Alabama has won more Nattys than Clemson. (Clemson,LSU, and Florida have each won 3 titles in the past 45 years.)
Some Clemson fans lately say, "Yea, but it is all going to be really different in the future." That is exactly what South Carolina fans fave been saying for 3 decades.
The South Carolina/SEC envy is hard for me to understand.

Crazy how it is that it's a "conference thing".
I think all that started during the BCS era where only two teams got in. So, you had better have two of the most perceived best teams in CFB.
Seems like they can't think for themselves to me, LOL! Almost like drones! Remember the Borg, "resistance is futile"? Razorback and shamecock fans have been beaten down so much: Stockholms Syndrome: they don't even realize they are stabbing themselves when they boost up the top of the league. Because recruits still won't go to your school, LOL. Silly AAF really.
