A Kiawah Tiger Tale you wont believe....

A buddy and I went to watch the PGA @ Kiawah Friday morning. Was pretty much walked out by the time we got there so we plopped in a bleacher at the 18th green. After a while a fellow wearing a tiny bit of Clemson garb sat a couple of rows up from us and I struck up a conversation.

Fellow was a jack of all trads sort over on Edisto Island. Asked him if he went to Clemson, he said yes. For a year beginning in 84-85. Finances were an issue and he returned back home to Columbia and went to the other school. He remained a Clemson fan. For the next 8 years he alternated between working and going to school and graduated in 1993.

When it came time to buy a class ring, He was asked what he wanted as the inscription on the inside. The ring guy explained most folks put their name and hometown. How boring he thought. On my ring I want "Go Tigers." I sez I gotta see this. He sez I aint had this ring off in years but for you.....several minutes later..He gets it off and its just as he sez. Hole effing moly.

And thats what I did Friday at the PGA...

class ring EVER made and look carefully at every single inscription.

You won't find a single "Go #####".

That's the difference between us and them.
