A Bittersweet Day for This Old Tiger

Aug 13, 2016, 7:02 PM

Well, we moved our youngest son into Clemson today where he joins his older brother. We couldn't be more proud of both of them and the fact that we went 2 for 2 as parents.

My grandfather was a Clemson man. My dad was a Clemson man. I'm a Clemson man. And as of today, both of my boys are Clemson men.

The house is quiet tonight but today was a really good day.

You can do it in any room in the house now, anytime of the day and any day of the week. Gotta be worth something.

odd feeling - but I am so proud of both that I can't be anything but happy. +1 for doing the work that gets 2 into CU. You clearly did everything right.

My oldest would have been a 5th generation Tiger

She was accepted at Clemson, but surprised us all and decided to make her own path. We move her into Winthrop University this week.

So I won't have a perfect record of sending my kids to college at CU, but here are 2 things I know:

1) They are all 3 Tigers to their core
2) My son (senior in HS) has already applied and won't be applying anywhere else

Congrats on having your boys together at Clemson; a great feat indeed!

awesome days when my son was there. Never forget my wife and I sitting behind he and his room mate after the last home game of their senior year, game was over, almost everyone was out of the stadium and they just stood there basking. Envious of you. Have a great time.
