"5% of the fanbase is always unhappy about something."

Jun 1, 2014, 10:55 AM

Really Jack??? You think this season and the general trend of this baseball program since 2006 has left just 5% of the fanbase unhappy? I'm not sure if Jack is super arrogant or plain stupid. Maybe both. But when he made those comments yesterday, I couldn't help but be reminded of Kevin Steele's comments during the 2011 football season. And we all now how that ended. Mediocrity is unacceptable at Clemson.

True and 72% are unhappy with the direction of our base program.

Terrible comparison. Leggett has coached Clemson to 6 CWS..

Jun 1, 2014, 11:23 AM

while Kevin Steele is responsible for the worst defense in the history of Clemson football.

I was in Nashville for the entire 18-1 beat down. I was also

in Miami for the 70-33 beat down. I'd have to say they felt very similar.

and that loss to WVU is a distant memory....

While Clemson continues to rise, WVU continues to fall. So if that's your comparison, that means good things in the future for baseball.

if a similar change to the cause is made, sure.***

Distant because the problem was removed...

Do you expect improvement without change? Our football program has continued to prove that improvement comes with change. Maybe the problem isn't Coach Leggett. If Coach Leggett is not the problem, he needs to identify the problem and make the appropriate change just like how Coach Swinney does.

And Jack won none of those CWS's. As a matter of fact I remember the coots booting us out of at least two of those. But yeah Jack is so great.

And Mike Roth, a junk pitcher from upstate SC beat us how many times---in SC or in Omaha?

I would have to guess that number is in the 75%-90% range. I laughed when I heard that too. I just wish we could force Jack into a few more press conferences over the next few days. He'd inevitably lose it and physically assault a reporter, then we could easily cut ties. :)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Jack has one more year on his contract, correct?

Jun 1, 2014, 12:08 PM

Be prepared for one more year of Jack. We had the 2nd worst fielding percentage in the acc this year, 13th out of 14, and fact is we were poor in all 5 tools of the game. There's always people who blame the head coach and it's well deserved in this case. But d@mn, watching those careless errors our players made yesterday is just sad sad sad. It's not jack on the field making stupid plays that lose you games.

only 1 out of 20 unhappy and you always manage to sit by

one of them? With your luck, I don't believe I would get out of bed everyday.

After the showings late in '14 season and in Nashville, I guarantee you it is a lot higher than 5%. Try 75%+ as the distraught with Clemson's baseball program right now.
