While I was enjoying sitting on the 50 yard line in the lower deck on the White Team sideline (very nice) and was shivering through the 1st half and enjoying the warmed up 2nd half, I noticed Myles Murphy and KJ standing out.
I also noticed LeVonta Bentley was everywhere. Stopping the run. In the backfield. Breaking up short & intermediate passes. A big guy with lots of mobility. Will not be breaking down any game tape ... will leave that for Wes ... but #42 looks like a RS Junior with lots of 2022 potential behind a great DL.
Go Tigers!

I'm with you in hoping the #42 is comfortable with the defense this coming season.
If he knows where to go, then he's a true hammer.

Must have been fairly close to you. It was cool sitting 10 rows up from CK2's parents. I told my wife that's was Cade's dad when he walked down past us, but you are correct about La Vonta. He was all over the field & he comes with baddddd intentions!!! It's going to be fun to watch him this year!

Bentley is a stud. I always wondered why he never saw the field. Every chance he got, he shined. Hard not to root for a kid like that. He easily oils have transferred.
He's probably my favorite player on defense.

They said he could not grasp the scheme as fast as Skalski, especially since Coach BV would call it in so late. Coach WG said he was simplifying things, so if LB stays healthy he will be one of the starts this year.

Haven't seen anyone quite like him.

Love the speed that these new linebackers play with. Bentley, Maguire, Trotter, Simpson, Carter. Lot of sideline to sideline backers that can hit. Going to be a much faster defense thats for sure.

We have missed that speed on defense too. With all the extra years our linebackers had, it’s been hard on new guys to get that experience and playing time. The extra years probably cost us some good players, since the veterans were returning for the extra year.

Bentley has concrete in his helmet. He can bring the pain. If he can improve in pass protection, he will be a great one. He was exposed a little bit last year.
