40 years ago today...

...I walked up and received my diploma from Clemson University!

The best years of my life were at Clemson...and some of the toughest times as well.

Watching Clemson win our first National Championship in football on a small tube TV in my apartment and then going downtown Clemson to celebrate the win was quite an experience. But getting that diploma from Clemson had the greatest impact on the rest of my life.

I graduated a day after my birthday, on 14 May 1966 in the amphitheater. Yep, that's right, today is my 79th birthday! Hard to believe so many years have since passed by. Clemson was a far different place back then, but it's still a special place.

As of December 2022 my youngest son graduated so now our family of five are all CU grads.

This December will be 30 years. Wow, the twists and turns. Not even close to my major, but it was worth it. Wouldnt trade it or any of those memories. Well, maybe the major. Still stay in contact with the old roomies. Amazing how much has changed.
