About what I would expect, though I would have Hyatt in Cain's spot and Cain in Hyatt's.

Dollars to doughnuts, neither Cain nor Hyatt go that high. Hyatt has the skill, but I don't know that he has the NFL body yet. Why would a NFL team use a 2nd round pick on a guy who has only played the position for three years?

It does seem like Hyatt should return for another year..

maturing and hitting the weights.

I am not sure about Joseph, but...

I feel confident the rest will have solid NFL careers.

Dorian in the 3rd would be an absolute robbery.

Deon — wonderfully talented but inconsistent.***

No way Cain is a top 50 prospect. His skill set for the NFL is #2 or #3 down the field speedster, with So-So hands aka Tedd Ginn type. That's not worth a 2nd round pick, maybe somewhere between 3rd-5th round.

Don’t be surprised to see O’Daniel go in the late first. He has a coveted skill set and was arguably our best player this year; he’ll crush the combine as well. Anticipate him running in the 4.5s and doing extremely well in the interview portion. His late emergence shouldn’t be an issue - it’s simply a result of transitioning from RB to LB and learning a new position in college as opposed to in high school.

Agree. LB's who can cover RB's and TE's are a commodity

in the NFL and DOD does that better than most.

I would switch Clelin and Wilkins (hopefully Clelin returns). But Wilkins is going to absolutely dominate every portion of the Combine. Wouldn't surprise me if he isn't the most athletic DT testing wise and he will test well in strength. Might break the wonderlic (not that I think it matters) and will crush the interviews and get an awesome review from the Clemson coaches.

I don't think Cain goes quite that high. Hyatt should return but could go anywhere from 2-4.
Bryant could push himself into 1st round consideration with a great combine. However, I see him going more like Dodd did.

I agree with another poster about O'Daniel. That guy is going to surprise a lot of people including GMs and scouts between now and the draft. I think if Kendall is healthy he is a 4-7 rounder. He could come back too. He is really strong but will test average in athletic events. Very smart and instinctive though.

About where I think for Crowder. Strong as a bull but limited athleticism and isn't real tall or long.

Cain isn't ready***

I think he is or could be. He just had the wrong role.*****

I think Wilkins is the first one off the board because of his versatility. He can go to a 4-3 team as the 3 technique DT or a 3-4 team as a DE. His ability to penetrate into the backfield will be highly sought after at either position.

I really hope the Panthers can land Ferrell, but given that they'll be drafting no earlier than 20 without trading up, he may not be around. He's got what you want from a 4-3 DE skill-wise with the frame to add another 20 lbs or so.

I don't think they're going to be able to convince Cain to stay, because I think he knows that somebody is going to overdraft for him based on his combine drill performances and size. I think that team is going to be disappointed though. He's got separation speed, and good agility, but his routes aren't great, his hands are just ok, and he doesn't use his body that well to shield DBs from the ball.

Bryant is a little more of a mystery. Decent size, great athletic ability, and a good motor, but he's only had one year of starter production, and half of his sacks came in one game. And he didn't make nearly as much noise in his one full year as a starter as Lawson or Dodd. There's a chance he falls as far as the 4th round unless he lights up the combine. If I was an unbiased advisor, I'd tell him to come back.

I don't think size is an issue for Hyatt. He'll probably put on another 15-20 lbs in an NFL workout program which will get him pretty much where most NFL OTs are. I still think he's another good candidate to come back though. With another year of improvement, he could be one of the top OTs in the draft instead of a mid-round RT like I think he'll be if he comes out this year.

O'Daniel is going to go in the first two rounds. LB/DB hybrids are very desirable in today's NFL, and he's got the size to go bang around at the line of scrimmage, and the speed and ball skills to drop off and cover WRs. He'll probably put on 10lbs or so, test well at the combine and move up.

Size-wise, Joseph is in that hybrid LB/DB range, but we've really only seen him play inside at the college level. A combine invite isn't a guarantee, but maybe he'll be able to catch on as a ST guy and work his way up.

Crowder has appealing size, strength, and tenacity, 3 key attributes of NFL guards. Athleticism will be the key for him. He'll have to show that he's more than just a mountain and that he can develop some pass-blocking technique.
