28 games left in the regular season...

Apr 2, 2015, 9:26 AM

and I don't see us going any better than 18-10 over that span which would give us a 32-24 record for the year.
That's NOT what I'd expected going into season.
Thoughts?
Go Tigers!!

32-24 would be GREAT for this team! LOL

You act like that would be bad...this team will be lucky to finish with a winning record AT ALL. I use to have all the faith in the world in the Coaching Staff and the talent on the field, but after watching our high school team in Summerville and then watching the Tigers, and the ROUTINE plays they screw up, I realize their is VERY little talent on the field this year. I have never been so disappointed in Clemson baseball...the wins over the gamecocks can't even save this season, or it's Coach. I too hope he resigns and goes out with some dignity, because the drop off since his assistants left has been drastic. God Bless ya Jack but the gig is over.

I might be optimistic to a fault, but...

the rest of the season isn't (shouldn't) be horrendously difficult.
Go Tigers!!

We made it past the blue hoes so we can coast from here on?

The second half of our schedule looks much tougher than the first half. We still have weekend series with UNC, GT, FSU, and Louisville. The ACC weekend series we have played to date have been against the middle of the pack or worse and we have 1 series win to show from it. We are ACC bottom feeders right now and it really isn't going to get better. My gut tells me we squeek into the ACC tourney as a bottom seed and get run from the tourney very quickly. After that I have my doubts that we even make a regional.

PC Winthrop and Coastal are having great years, they've also defeated coots.

Also the ACC is better this year IMHO. Even without UVA being stellar.

A lot of teams still adjusting to the ball JL wanted.

Having said all that unless we win a regional JL is gone...and not sure we make a regional unless it's a major gift from committee.

I Agree 32-24 would be a great record. 3 seed at the florida
