3 Key Games that lead to the title, and they were all.....

games we lost!

# 1 - WVU beat down in the Orange Bowl. Result- Hiring of Brent Venerables

# 2 Last year's championship game loss to Alabama. Result- Solidified the notion that you have to beat the best to be the best. On the mountain, just not to the peak!

# 3 Loss to Pitt. Result- refocused team for the stretch run. Helped to relax the boys a bit.

While we love to focus on great wins (and we've had plenty) these games had just as much to do with our title as any of those wins in my humble opinion.

Now, go get another one!

I agree with OP. All 3 of those games had direct and huge impacts on where we are as a program today.
