I was bored and watching highlights of last season

May 8, 2022, 9:26 AM

When I watch Kobe Pace run I kind of get a little Reggie Merriweather vibe; not a burner, just runs HARD. Is it just me??

Not just you. Big and physical. Hope we see a lot of that this year. Maybe we can line up and get one yard when we need to.

+1 Ivebeen so disappointed through the years since D Ford left that we seem unable to count on our OL to get a yard or 2 when we need it by running between the tackles. Too many trick plays, or slow developing wide runs. We need an OL that has the nastiness that will get the yard or two and be embarrassed if they don’t.

Absolutely. His physicality stands out. Nothing against the others, but he might be my favorite back to watch.

Sometimes the road to the truth is so elusive it's confusing and reality becomes illusion.

3 backs all with something different to offer...

May 8, 2022, 11:58 AM

Mafah, biggest, still fast and shifty and a smasher
Shipley, Fastest, still shifty and a smasher
Pace, shiftiest, quickest, and still a smasher.

I hope we spend plays with 2 in backfield, and QB under center when we need that big short gain.

Shipley reminds me of Gallman. Not in running style but their fight. Much like Gallman, Shipley seems to run harder the more he is hit and the further into the game. By the 4th Q they just smash people for the hell of it.

I like Pace. If something happens to any one of the three, I don't see a drop off. I hope CJ finds a way to feed them all. And I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised by the OL this year.

Honestly, it has GOT to be better. Given another year of maturity they should be at least. Doubt it could be too much worse to be frank.

Nah
Kobe pace was one of our best If not best and most reliable offensive weapon last year.
Underrated, IMO better than Ship was as a starter at times.
